Legal Reporting for Brazil - IN86 / SPED

Dear Members,

Good Morning !

I need a your help with Legal reporting for Brazil - IN86 / SPED.We are on version SAP 4.6c. The Brazilian legal tax reporting has been changed from IN68 to IN86. We have implemented all the suggested SAP notes regarding IN86. But we have currently some open issues with the output layout. When we tried to upload the files into SINCO program, we encountered errors 'Invalid file formats'. Further SAP does not seems to be working in feeding input values in all the fields in the output formats.

When contacted SAP, we were told that currently they dont have a complete solution to it and the team is still working to address the issues for Brazil localization.

I am sure there would be many companies out there who are using SAP and may have faced similar issues. How did the issue addressed? Is there a SAP note that we are missing or it is through customization.

Please any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

In this blog we do not discuss questions or technical problems specifically a ERP as your question about SAP.
Important information that can help are:
IN-86 has changed in its layout since dez/09, by ADE COFIS 55. This update added many items to the layout.
The validator SINCO is really a problem.
SAP has the “SAP forum” that can guide you better about SAP.
It is important to emphasize that in Brazil, most companies use a tax solution complementary to ERP to generate the IN-86.
